America 250 Celebration at Bear’s Ranch – Thank You!
What an incredible Fourth of July weekend at Bear’s Ranch! In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th year of statehood, we welcomed a fantastic turnout of veterans, families, and community members for two days of history, patriotism, and family fun.
A major highlight was the unforgettable flyover by two F-16 fighter jets directly above the ranch! Special thanks to retired U.S. Air Force General Ronald R. Fogelman, our distinguished guest speaker, along with La Plata County Veterans Service Officer Eric Burgos, Southern Ute Tribal Historian Johnny Valdez, and our talented live musicians, Brendan Forrest and Black Diamond Bluegrass.
The weekend also marked the exciting public launch of the Home of the Brave Museum project and Phoenix Campaign, dedicated to preserving our nation's military history for future generations.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us over the busy July 4th holiday weekend! We are grateful to our guests, volunteers, sponsors, and the Durango community for making this celebration such a memorable success. Check out the event gallery here!
